Elena's Trip Log; Days 117 - 127

Last day of May

Day 117 Robson's Runabout

Today, we went to church, then, after that and lunch, we went to the beach again. Mama ran there again. This time, since King Gloppitop and King Mordor had come to be friends after the battle the day before, they still had there own castles, but they were best friends. When Mordor's castle fell over, they lived in the catacombs of Gloppitop. Of course, the king didn't know this until they popped up in front of him when a soldier had just finished telling him about it. He didn't know they had catacombs. Another change to the game was now they had more neighbors. Jonah had a castle called Pointytop. The only thing pointy about it was the hoodoos. At Pointytop they had a pet troll. I won't put much about him in here. I will say he was very dumb and went to the bathroom once a month. Lots of troll dung in the front yard. It was bigger then the castle, and served as a smelly vacancy for King Mordor's men. We played there till 5:30-6 pm. Then we went back to eat dinner, read, and go to bed.

Day 118 in Robson's Runabout

Today, we went to Zion. When we got there, we took the shuttle to where Mama and Jonah were to get in there trail ride. Isey, Dada, and I waited and played chess at the lodge until it was time to see the ride into the corral. After that, we all went to the Lodge's restaurant for lunch. After lunch, we went to take a few walks, then go to the museum so that we could take a few walks then go to the Museum, so that we could watch a movie. Then we left, and got ice cream. Then we went back into the park to go through a tunnel that they blasted. On the other side, we saw lots of Bighorn Sheep, including 2 babies. We drove back to the RV after that, and ate dinner, read, and, oh why do I even bother writing it.

Day 119 in Robson's Runabout

Today, we drove and drove until we got to Great Basin NP, and when we got there, we took a tour of Lehman's Cave, which was small but cool. After that, we got a spot at the campground, and ate dinner. Then we read and went to bed.

Day 120 in Robson's Runabout

Today, we had breakfast at the Visitor Center's cafe. After that, Dada went to get the RV ready to go and Mama, the boys and I went for a walk. When Dada brought the RV around, we drove to Ely for lunch. We went to a Chinese restaurant. That was good. Then we went to a train museum sort of thing, and hung around there, and after that, we drove further to BLM land. We went for a walk on a petroglyph trail, then ate dinner, and made up a song, which should be posted by now. Then we read, and went to bed.

Day 121 in Robson's Runabout

Today, we walked up a big hill in the BLM land. After that, we packed up the RV and drove for a while, until we found some historical sites. It was the remains of the Pony express trail and houses for the riders. After looking around, we drove some more until we got to a little campground near Carson City. After getting settled, and going for a walk on a little trail with Dada, we went to dinner in the city. We went to a rib place, and got some good stuff. A nice couple payed the bill. After dinner, we went to a playground, and did lots of stuff. When we got back to the RV, we read, and went to bed.

Day 122 in Robson's Runabout

Today we drove a while to pretty Petaluma. We went to our first KOA which everyone there said was the best one out there. They had a bounce pillow, petting farm (with goats (some pregnant), baby goats, sheep, chickens, and the occasional peacock or peahen), pool, and awesome playground. We got to our campsite, and then went to the playground and bounce pillow. I went to the petting farm, too. We ate dinner after that, and then went to the ice cream social and karaoke at the rec hall. None of us sang. After that, we went to the RV, read, and went to bed listening to the karaoke.

Day 123 in Robson's Runabout

Today, we just hung around the amazing campground, but I stayed mostly at the petting farm with Patches, the very pregnant, due any day Nubian goat, Bucky, the fat goat mother of Zack and Cody, Pumpkin, goat mother of Aurora, Chloe, and Athena, Balto, the daddy goat who likes to play, Sweet Shala and Sweet Baby Girl, the twin goats, Annabelle the sheep, Ransom the rooster, Raya, his girlfriend, Riva and Razzy, the chicken "sisters", and Roxie the chicken. And then there is the human Shala, my new friend, who takes care of everyone. She let Patches out so she could look at her, and Patches rubbed her head against Shala's leg, which Shala said hurt. Later, we went to watch and outdoor movie, Pirates of the Caribbean. It was the first time I'd seen it. Afterwards, we went back to the RV, and went to bed.

Day 124 in Robson's Runabout

Today, we went to a church in Sonoma, then went back to the campground and hung around for the rest of the day.

Day 125 in Robson's Runabout
Today, we left around 11:00 to go to Tiburon for lunch. We went to Sam's, a seafood place, for lunch. Then we drove to drop Dada off at the airport so he could fly to NY for business. Then we went back to the campground and played around for the rest of the day.

Day 126 in Robson's Runabout

Today, we the boys, Mama and I went to Train town, a little amusement park with trains, and a little scale train ride we took to get to a little mini town with a petting zoo (which had really energetic and crazy babies who gave me a cut that really bled). After that, we went into town and ate at the Sonoma Cheese Co. Then, we went to see the Jelly Belly Factory, got a factory tour, and tasted quite a few jelly beans! And of course we got some too. Then we went back to the camper for dinner and bed after checking on Patches and bouncing a bit.

Day 127 in Robson's Runabout

Today, we took the ferry to San Francisco, and when we got there, went first to Pier 39 and saw hundreds of seals that spend their days sitting on the docks that are reserved for them; that was funny. Then we went into an picture gallery. That was cool. When we walked out of that we stepped into an audience of the soon-to-begin Keith Show. Keith was a juggler. He juggled balls, knives, all sorts of stuff. After that was over, we got a Keith Show DVD. Then we went to get ice cream for lunch and Mama got a pesto-tomato-cheese crepe. Then we took the cable car up big, hilly roads to China town and found the Fortune Cookie Factory, which ended up being just an older woman sitting and folding the cookies and an older man giving people cookies in a small warehouse. After getting cookies galore, we bought an orchid on sale in a little shop. After all that, we went to get on our ferry back to the car, then went back to the RV. It was late when we got back, so we watched a movie while eating dinner, and went to bed.

Day 128 in Robson's Runabout

Today, we rented Banana Bikes in the campground, and did that for a while, and after that, we went to the Academy of Science, a science museum. It was HUGE. It was very cool. Next, we went to meet Emily Moberg Robinson at there house. Mama and Emily chatted, and I did that and played with the kids. We were going to stay for dinner, but, we had to go get Dada, and when we got him, we went to get Japanese for dinner. Then, we went back to the RV, and went to bed at 10:00.
