BNSF going by

This was one of six or seven freight trains that went by in the 90
minutes that we stopped at the town of Fort Madison.

For those of you, like me, who have always puzzled over how Burlington
(BN) Vermont could be connected to Santa Fe (SF) New Mexico, I have
discovered the answer: There are towns by these names along the
Mississippi.
