New Orleans

We are parked in a neat RV private RV park fifteen minutes drive from the French Quarter. Navigating around just fine. David flew back to RI for church official organization!!! He'll be back today. Of course as he's away, I can't figure out the toilet problem...
Enjoyed listening to music in a courtyard place yesterday w/ Rob and the kiddos and then met up w/ Aunt Jude and Uncle T for more music and dinner. Kiddos tired and ready to hit the road by 7:30, so we took a horse drawn carriage ride back to the van which was a fabulous way to travel. I would have loved the more easy going pace of the 1800s even though it was dirtier and much less convenient.
Rob says he will never vacation anywhere other than New Orleans again. Totally in his element w/ the jazz everywhere you turn. He's hoping to sit in on a gig or two.
Had to hustle the kiddos down part of Bourbon Street. Whew- "Eyes straight ahead, Guys. Let's hustle." Rob says "well, we made a right onto Wrong Street that time." For the most part, the sleaze is completely avoidable and also good topics of conversation and education.
Dave flies back in today at 2:45, so we'll hang out here on the canal and then grab him and head back in to French Quarter and Garden District and spend more time listening to music and enjoying the weather with Aunt Judy and Uncle T.
