Houseboat

Gorgeous. 14 people, less than one hundred per night. Who wants to
come? Amazing slice of heaven on Earth is this region of the southwest.

It's a LONG LONG way down!!!

At Horseshoe Overlook outside Page AZ. Wow! Could be 1000 feet
straight down. Kinda scared me to get to the edge. Made sure I kept
firm handholds on Jonah.

A walk along south rim trail

Arrived at grand canyon a little later than expected. Squeezed in a
nice lunch and some ice cream at Bright Angel lodge and then walked
along the rim for awhile. Caught the shuttle bus out to Pima Point
then walked to Hermit's Rest. Took shuttle back to village then went
to camper.

Kinda crowded and RV campsite is kinda homely. Can't imagine what it
must be like in summer.

Taking off by noon tmrw.

Staying in Coconino natl forest tonight

The regular campground wasn't open so we found a clear space on the
forest road and pulled in for the night. Isaac found a spine of white
bones from a an elk or cow or perhaps a dinosaur (says Jonah).

Wapatki pueblo ruins

Just north of flagstaff. There was an easy self-guided tour that
included walking to a ball court and a blow hole in the ground.
