Final Travel Map

Here’s the final version of the map that we put together. Total of 85 camping stops and over 17,000 miles. I think you should be able to double-click on it to make it bigger.

Backtracking to NE Indiana

Elkhart County has a quilt garden trail throughout the towns and
villages. This only adds to the utter charm of what I think of as
quintissential Americana.

Dave's wiped

After driving twelve hours straight from Nappanee, IN to White Lake,
NY yesterday, the man awoke to work hours on the cabin today. He's a
real go-getter, this one. In between breaths he managed to interact w
kids, make dinner and go to campfire for it's duration tonight!
Wonder if he'll wake up before lunch tomorrow.

Darn sock!

Hard to tell, perhaps, but here's an example of great darning! Okay,
perhaps not great darning, but authentic darning nonetheless. I
managed to handle the other heel prophylactically as well since I was
on a roll. Then finished hemming Elena's jeans. My Mom hemmed 90% of
my pants from age ten through 35. Glad I can pay it forward.

Corny names, I know.
Beautiful lion pair in Pitt Zoo.
We had a wonderful, restful, playful, visitful vacation with Mom and
Dad. They are our inspirations and are such Godly examples.
I learned to darn! I have some pairs of my Mom's wool socks that I
love to wear that needed attention. Cut to me sitting by the fire in
the rocking chair...
Also had a rudimentary hemming lesson. Will need more.

Conked out
